TOKYO MARUI - Overseas market entry project
TOKYO MARUI, which manufactures airsoft guns, radio control (RC) hobbies, and plastic models in the past, is the largest world-class airsoft gun manufacturers in Japan and has one of the largest market shares in the world. However, the company's overseas distribution was not sold through regular wholesale channels, but through parallel imports. This led to the possibilities of opportunity loss and risks. In order to secure a safe market development as a manufacturer, this project was undertaken to identify market trends and the possibility of acquiring sales channels for foreign market entry.

Before Beeans Inc. joined
Since overseas product distribution was not under the control of the company and was only distributed through parallel imports, the company could not properly provide quality assurance, maintenance systems, and parts replacement. In order to find a solution, TOKYO MARUI decided to investigate the European market, which has a large distribution scale.

Beeans Inc. conducted market research in France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, and Spain, which TOKYO MARUI was interested in from the beginning. In addition to the model gun regulations in each country, we conducted a wide range of research, including potential partner companies, trends in survival game players, and local sales promotion activities.
Project success
Based on our global business experience, coordination, negotiation, and language skills, Beeans Inc. was able to develop more than 16 potential partner companies in France and more than 15 in the UK. By continuing to hold meetings with each company, we built a large number of cooperative relationships in each country. We have succeeded in deeply identifying risks and market and consumer trends.
